Meet Maggie

Maggie has been a part of our family since 2012, joining us after completing her Certificate II & III in Animal Studies.

Maggie has a deep understanding of dog behaviour, and you may spot her outdoors on a training walk, supervising the daycare kids, or conducting a day training session.

After getting married in Morocco, she now divides her time between two countries. While in Morocco, she extends her love for animals by fostering cats and dogs and continues to work remotely to our team, assisting with bookings and administration.

I honestly can't recommend Hairy Hounds enough. Their care factor is phenomenal. The carers are all trained to care for... animals, and they take the time to cater to every dogs specific needs, whether it be food, medication, naps or behavioral encouragement. Their prices are also very fair and affordable! I'll never go anywhere else :)read more

Can't recommend highly enough! Hairy Hounds has looked after my 10-year-old pugalier since she was a pup - through... doggy daycare, walks and sleepovers in a carer's home. She adores them and I always feel coinfident that she is in safe and caring hands!read more

Being small apartment dwellers, we've used a few dog day care places over the years, and we always come back to HHPG.... They are not only lovely people who LOVE dogs, they are also excellent trainers. The team helped us work with an aggressive old pug we got when he was 10 and had developed aggression. They then helped us train our next from puppy to adult, and she is the sweetest, well behaved beast. Staff remember you, they look after your pup safely and securely, and have a big range of additional activities & services.read more

Christe is an extremely unethical businesswomen, and a very creative liar. Edit 1: It's funny you use the word 'super'... in your response as it is Superannuation I mean when I say Christe is an unethical businesswomen. I know a few past workers of hairy hounds that never received their super payments even though they are a legal requirement of a business with employees and were listed on payslips. I would strongly advise any current workers to check with the ATO as to whether they are receiving their super.read more

Positive: Our dog seemed really happy & we have seen photos from the day that indicate she loved the day care. The... staff seem to love the animals which is great. Report card was a nice touch. Negative: The groom was average. I asked for a puppy trim (just to slightly shorten the fur but retain her look). She came back with an uneven cut and extremely short hair. Overall would recommend the day care, not the grooming service.read more

Normally the staff here are great, passionate dog lovers however on pick up today there was a lady I was unfamiliar... with and she was really rude. We booked our pups in for a pamper and play, my husband dropped them off at 10 and I picked them up at 5.30 after work, she first had a go at me about the fact I didn't pick them up earlier and so she could charge me extra, I never said I wouldn't pay extra. Then she answered the phone and after hanging up said "is it that hard for people" referring to online booking. She also wanted to enter our dog in the system and asked if I brought paperwork, however I stated that my husband brought it earlier and they didn't ask for it, she was visible frustrated by this, clearly she was having a bad day! She went to get my two strong and excited dogs and had a absolutely no control, no use of commands and started yelling at the waiting kids to get out of the way as the dogs just about dragged her across the floor, very poor effort for dog "specialists". The phone then rang again and she (in a rude manner) said I need to get this call can you take your dogs and thrust the leads at me. I took that as my cue to leave and as I started to walk out she tapped me on the shoulder while on the phone and handed me the paperwork from today. It was incredibly off putting and such a shame to have what has been a reliable place for us ruined by one impatient abrasive staff member. It really has left a bad taste in my mouth and will need to reconsider our loyalty to this place.read more

A reasonably priced doggy daycare center that doesn't ask you to pay for a behvioural assessment. Their Groomer did the... absolute worst groom I've ever seen though! Extremely short, very choppy & uneven all over, just really awful!read more

We can't recommend Hairy Hounds Playground enough. After moving to Williamstown from the East, it was way too far to... drive for grooming and with Christmas fast approaching, we wanted a nice clean boy before the weather heated up. They were so accommodating, the staff so friendly and professional and our boy looks amazing. We've also used their doggy daycare facility and valet service and it's just so convenient we don't know how we've managed until now. So happy to have found such a wonderful place for our pooch with amazing and caring staff. We'll be long term clients for sure.
