The Team @ Hairy Hounds Playground

 

Hairy Hounds Playground was established in March 2007 by Nat and Sarah to enable dog owners to have a safe, fun and affordable place for their dogs to be cared for, groomed, trained and to buy dog food, treats and accessories all in one place, a one stop doggy shop!!

Meet the team at Hairy Hounds Playground – we all have a genuine love of animals, particularly dogs and are all dog owners!

Nat (co-founder of Hairy Hounds) with her dog Scooby a Labrador. Nat has run her dog grooming business for over 8 years and has been a vet nurse for 3 years whilst also running puppy preschool classes at the Yarraville Village Animal Hospital.

Sarah (co-founder of Hairy Hounds) with her dog Chewie a Miniature Groodle. Sarah has left a 12 year career in finance to work in doggy day care and has never been happier!

Kathy with her dogs Roxy a Great Dane X and Oscar a Terrier X both rescued from Lort Smith Animal Hospital where Kathy worked for 6 years.

Mirella with her dogs Rolly and Miller both Labradors. Mirella kindly re homed Miller who temporarily lived at Hairy Hounds Playground while he was looking for a new home.

Karena is a volunteer at Hairy Hounds on Wednesdays and is training to be a dog groomer, she owns a Spoodle called Ozzy.

Hairy Hounds Playground is a full member of CASPA (Companion Animal Service Providers Association of Victoria) and as such all staff have completed their mandatory courses –
· First Aid for Animals
· Handling Other People’s Animals

ADTA

ADTA (Australian Dog Trainers Academy) tailor made a training course for our business and spent considerable time at Hairy Hounds working with us and making suggestions and improvements to ensure the safety, enjoyment and wellbeing of all of the dogs in our care.
